The results are in...

Last week I took a poll…

and the results are in:

And most of you want to become Web3 Creators!

If you remember from last week I took a poll about the direction of this newsletter.

The overwhelming majority of you chose the topic of Web3 Creator.

So what does that mean?

Let’s review.

Web3 is projected to grow at 44% annually over the next decade. It’s going to touch every aspect of our lives.

It’s where the jobs are going and it’s where the opportunities will be.

Ok, so what does a Web3 creator mean?

4.9 billion people spend on average 2.5 hours on social media everyday.

This trend is going to continue.

If you don’t know anything about coding, like I don’t, this means you must start producing content on the internet to get in the game.

After all, Web3 is really just the next evolution of the internet.

The thesis behind the Web3 Creator is threefold:

  • Your interest/niche is some aspect of Web3 (if you’re looking for Web2 advice please unsubscribe now ;)

  • You want to write with impact to create opportunities for you and your family

  • You want to understand how AI can help you with all of this and you don’t want to be left behind

Now, I know what some of you are thinking:

What does this have to do with me getting a job in Web3?

To be honest: everything.

I have the perfect example for you:

Two years ago I was desperate to work full-time in Web3.

I searched for months with no luck. I thought only coders could find work.

I applied at all the job boards and never heard back from a single one.

Do you know what got me a job in Web3?

Creating content!

I started posting on Twitter, which led to me starting a newsletter (Not this newsletter. This was a previous newsletter about a different topic).

The CEO of our startup read my newsletter. He messaged me one day on Twitter and offered me a job.

Sounds easy, right?

No.

I would spend 10-15 hours a week writing that newsletter.

But I was doing it for free because I genuinely enjoyed it and I was curious.

Creating content online is the key to finding opportunities in Web3 and beyond.

Linear vs. Exponential

Humans are terrible at thinking exponentially.

We think linearly.

But if you create content online for long enough.

The algorithm is exponential.

Let me explain with a simple thought experiment:

Would you rather have $1 million dollars, or starting with one penny ($0.01) your amount doubles each day for 30 days?

Most people would choose the $1 million dollar option.

Because they think linearly.

But this penny is expanding EXPONENTIALLY.

In 30 days you would have $5,368,709.12

Over 5 times the $1 million!

Just because this point is so important I want to show it in graph form:

Do you see how it doesn’t seem to make a difference until around Day 25?

In the last 5 days you’re getting 99% of the value.

BUT, you needed those first 25 days to get there.

This is how posting online works - it’s exponential, not linear.

That’s the power of the internet and social media algorithms.

Artificial intelligence just makes this even more exponential.

(Just to be clear it will probably take you more than 25 days of posting online to go “exponential” - but the point is don’t give up until you do.)

The 3 Pillars of the Web3 Creator

As far as I’m concerned there are three main pillars to becoming a Web3 creator:

  • Web3 knowledge

  • The ability to write well (copywriting & storytelling)

  • Utilizing AI to automate and expand your ideas

If you understand all three of these areas you will be ahead of 99% of the population.

And you’ll be able to capitalize on all the opportunities it brings.

There is an ocean of knowledge to cover and learn.

And I’ll be teaching and learning it with you.

Remember there are no experts in Web3. It’s too early for there to be gurus.

So each week I’ll be breaking down a specific topic of my learnings to help you become a better Web3 Creator.

This includes:

  • Web3 resources & niche breakdown

  • Web3 trends and narratives

  • Copywriting

  • Storytelling

  • Twitter growth

  • AI prompts

  • Workflow ideas

  • How to start a newsletter

The list goes on.

I am excited to dive into all of these and more to help you win in Web3.

Have a great weekend my fellow Web3 Creators!
